ACU Cashless Campus

Building the Cashless Campus of the future

As the world moves quickly towards a cashless society, ACU recognised the need to explore new technologies including cashless and mobile payments on campus, and a leading-edge commerce capability that would support ACU student needs today, and into the future.

What We Did

ACU appointed W3.Digital to develop and deliver a leading payment ecosystem that could stand the test of time.

W3 delivered a three year strategic vision and initiative roadmap, laying a roadmap to transform ACU into the Cashless Campus of the Future, working closely with ACU staff, students and other stakeholders through services that included:

  • Market research
  • Payment process mapping
  • Student focus groups
  • Stakeholder interviews
  • Student workshops
  • Stakeholder workshops
  • Refinement and iteration
  • Service design
  • Vendor selection
  • Future product roadmap

The strategy provided ACU not only insight and answers as to how best resolve the issues of today, but also lay a plan to tackle shifts in the digital landscape into the future.

The result of this was an entirely new online and offline payments ecosphere, consolidating the total number of student systems from ten to three, improving the customer experience and reducing the overall cost of maintenance and enhancement.

W3 Digital is a collaborative, strategic consulting firm — they helped us get deeper understanding of our stakeholders, competitors, the market, and their insights were invaluable in breaking down complexities and identify what we needed to do to win
