ANZ Digital Engagement Platform

Revolutionising workplace giving at ANZ

ANZ were seeking ways to understand the needs and behaviours of their internal staff better, and to leverage these insights to help define a set of future state digital capabilities for a workplace giving and volunteering platform.

A platform for employee engagement

W3.Digital was engaged to complete customer enquiry, competitive analysis, and design a set of capabilities that could help inform a decision to build-or-buy for new functionality for a digital platform, moving the business towards delivering new, engaging experiences for its team. On completion of this eight-week engagement, W3.Digital delivered a working prototype, based on the needs, desires and behaviour of their team members for a new workplace giving platform.

This was accompanied by a detailed platform strategy document that outlined the insights we discovered along the way, our rationale for development, and a roadmap for next st

Our approach

The platform strategy was informed by the following activities:

  • Interview and insight program with a broad set of ANZ staff and stakeholders
  • A workshop with product owners to develop a framework to prioritise the user stories and capabilities that were most important in realising team member needs
  • Co-creation of storyboards to powerfully illustrate the future, ideal state opportunities
  • Wireframing and prototyping of functionality to provide a testable framework for development
  • Completion of a market scan and review of competing products to facilitate a build or buy decision

The W3.Digital Team were engaged by Shout (powered by ANZ) and ANZ to provide a deeper insight into concept validation and product design for an important piece of organisational functionality. We found W3 to be efficient and engaging to work with and the quality of their final deliverable was exactly what we needed to deliver our objective. They have a strong Service Design focus and are a delight to deal with. I have no hesitation in recommending their services to any prospective clients.
