Australian Pacific Touring (APT) is one of the world’s leading tour operators. Their customers are increasingly researching, planning and booking their tours via digital channels.

The brief

APT approached W3 Digital to develop a digital strategy catering to the changing needs of their customers and to expand their position in the market.

What we did

APT appointed W3 to develop and deliver an integrated digital strategy. This began with assessing APT’s business, brand, and customer needs. We then identified the initiatives that would delight the customer and lead the market. This formed the basis of a digital strategy designed to engage and acquire customers.

The results

The strategy provided a clear, focused plan and roadmap for APT’s future digital activities. W3’s involvement has helped APT identify its vision for an integrated digital platform.

The digital strategy enabled APT to:

  • Understand  motivations and buying behaviours to acquire new customers.
  • Redevelop the company website to better express the brand and cater to changing customer needs.
  • Generate and nurture potential online leads and sales.
  • Prepare themselves to deal with customers who are becoming increasingly confident with technology.
  • Create high levels of brand engagement.
  • Improve customer loyalty and repeat purchases.

The project enables APT to build a competitive edge in the digital environment. It will have direct impact on APT’s brand presence, customer loyalty and business profitability. A whole new generation of travel buyers will be able to research and buy their holidays in the ways that suit them best.
