Customer engagement platform, strategy and development

VicUrban was the Victorian Government’s land development agency commissioned with developing sustainable, affordable communities in Melbourne and regional Victoria. VicUrban had a major new development—Meridian—in the works and needed an effective way to communicate and educate the public on this.

The brief

W3 Digital were engaged to build a customer engagement platform for the new development. Our job was to research, plan, script and produce a video explaining the new development in Dandenong South, Victoria, Australia.


What we did

W3 Digital worked with VicUrban to deliver a customer engagement platform. In our role we delivered:

  • Service design consulting
  • User experience (UX) design
  • Website design and development
  • Video script writing and production
  • Social media strategy
  • 3D animation
  • System integration

The results

W3 Digital delivered VicUrban a platform that:

  • Created high levels of customer engagement
  • Educated potential housing investors
  • Exceeded government requirements to communicate sustainability initiatives

The Meridian development was a project with a range of unique initiatives such as carbon footprint reduction, the urban orchards (edible landscapes), storm-water harvesting initiatives and the shared streets concept. Simply communicating the vision of the Meridian project was a critical step. W3 helped create digital communication assets that leveraged evolving technologies. They developed the strategy, created and edited the videos, and helped imagine the project in 3D so the viewer could understand what a ground-breaking initiative the Meridian project was. They are a great team to work with.
